Vans is known for their classic old school skater style, hailing all the way back from the 1970s they are instantly recognisable and a staple in the urban uniform.

 

These shoes are made for people who move, value comfort and style - this needed to be translated in to photographs to push sales. With this in mind the shoot was held outdoors, with the footwear set in a real life setting, on stairs, in the dirt and outdoors. 

 

After shooting, minimal retouching was done, with only a layered texture to enhance Van's grunge skater feel to pay hommage to the brand DIY aesthetic.
